Functions are powers stored within the Transistor that a User can utilize during combat. Sixteen primary Functions are acquired as defaults, by absorbing the Traces of the citizens of Cloudbank, or via leveling up. Five others can become available under certain circumstances, though Turn() is the only one not in some way derived from a primary Function.
Each of the sixteen primary Functions is associated with the Trace of a citizen of Cloudbank. Most of these Traces were integrated into the Transistor upon the death of their principles. Some, however, ended up in the Transistor a significant amount of time after death had taken place, and one, as functional as any other Function, was derived from a contact brief enough to leave its principle alive and mostly intact.
