Located in Goldwalk downstairs from its Box Office in the Amphitheater Parkway, the
Empty Set is a well-known open-air concert pavilion that seats 435. Its manager is Coby Tessel. Headlining acts are selected by poll.
The Empty Set's microphone has amplified 2,496 songs. A private dock is located off stage right.
History[]
Red had never missed a show at the Empty Set. On 04/22/67 at 20:41, Tessel posted a final-round poll to choose whether Red or Facsimile would headline the venue next month. Despite Facsimile's popularity, Red won handily.
According to box office records on 06-26-67, 48 shows were planned there. Red was the headlining act that day.
At 01:17 pm, after the end of the day's scheduled live performances, suspicious activity was reported at the venue, with authorities evacuating the area and investigating reports that two people might have been seriously injured. Later reports implicated the Camerata and noted Red's disappearance from the venue.
After her return, her examination of the Empty Set revealed a "processed crime scene" which had been witnessed by six people: Red, Unknown, and the four members of the Camerata. While Red and Unknown had been transported away from the scene and three of the other witnesses had fled, one Camerata member remained at the Set until confronted again.
