A Trace Bank is a structure inside the Transistor which holds the Trace of a single person. Trace Banks can be seen when Red confronts Royce Bracket.
Overview[]
The battle area inside the Transistor has three rows of Trace Banks with five in each row, numbered from 99 to 113. Each bank is associated with a person who was absorbed by the Transistor. More banks reside outside the battle area, some with numbers exceeding 80,000.
Outside of Turn mode, each bank is a hexagonal pillar of approximately human height with a number engraved on the top and a blue triangular symbol on the front. In Turn mode, each bank is translucent, with the glowing blue shoulders and torso of a human figure inside. If Turn is initiated right next to a bank, a text reveals the occupant's identity.
Occasionally a small red light gleams around the upper perimeter of any given Trace Bank. Despite the battle raging around them, the banks otherwise remain inert, sometimes blocking attacks and sometimes allowing them through.
Trivia[]
- Although each other person whose Function the Transistor can use is held in a Trace Bank, Unknown does not have one.
- Both Red and Royce have Trace Banks, despite appearing in the same space outside them. While other inhabitants of Trace Banks, including Royce, are listed by name, Red's Trace Bank lists its occupant as CURRENT_USER.
- Each Trace Bank has a blue triangular symbol displaying three ears of grain, an allusion to the Country.
